PlanetZac PlanetZac :: Climbing
PlanetZac: Meeting your Zac needs since 2002.

I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I've been climbing in the Hills for 10 years. I have to admit that for the first five years, I was a pretty pathetic climber. I only did toproped climbs or seconded leads. The summer before my freshman year, I finally decided to make climbing a major part of my life. I bought my first rope, a set of quickdraws, and started learning how to lead sport on my own.

In the last few years, I think I've really grown as a climber. With my experience with so many different climbers and reading so many books, I've struck out on my own and pursued my own goals in climbing with safety and confidence.

Last summer (2002) marks my first year leading on traditional gear. I'm also passing the 5.10 barrier on sport (no laughing). I hope this site can serve others trying to find their own place in the world of climbing.

If you're ever looking for information on the Black Hills (and possibly a good belay), you can e-mail me and I can at least get you some resources if not answer your question directly.
